Independent medical educational grants
We're committed to pioneering novel therapies in urology and uro-oncology—UroGen® recognizes the critical role of education for healthcare professionals involved in the management of these patients.
That's why we provide independent medical education grants to support continuing medical education (CME) or non-CME programs through accredited, independent, third-party medical education providers.
Programs should align with the following therapeutic priorities:
Disease Fundamentals: Educational initiatives that enhance understanding of urothelial cancers, including upper tract urothelial cancer (UTUC) and non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC):
- Epidemiology and prevalence
- Diagnostic approaches and risk stratification
- Contemporary treatment algorithms and standards of care
- Potential future treatments currently in development, as well as management gaps, study designs, and patient-reported outcomes.
Unmet Medical Needs: Programs aimed at addressing persistent gaps in care, including:
- Limitations in current management strategies for UTUC and NMIBC
- Evolving clinical challenges and opportunities for improved therapeutic decision-making
- Insights into patient journeys where unmet needs remain significant
Provider and Patient Impact: Education that empowers clinicians and improves care delivery by focusing on:
- Strategies that strengthen shared decision-making between providers and patients
- Review and application of guideline-relevant survey instruments, including validated quality-of-life questionnaires and assessment tools.
- Best practices for multidisciplinary care teams—including Urologists, Oncologists, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Nurses, Pharmacists, and other clinical stakeholders
- Educating residents, fellows, and rising stars in urology and oncology
- Quality improvement strategies
- Tools, resources, and insights that enhance patient experience, promote shared decision-making, and support optimal clinical outcomes, including patient education materials, infographics, and resources designed to improve patient health literacy.
